The RoadRunners, Samaipata Bolivia

High up on a mountain near the town of Bermejo there is a lone laguna. Home of many water birds and flocks of parrots it's a pleasure to walk along. Later we come to the edge of the mountain and follow a small trail down to a river which we will follow back to the main road.

We have to cross the river around 8 times, jumping from stone to stone or wading through the water, and have plenty of opportunity to swim and enjoy lunch.

At the end of the day we arrive back in bermejo where our car is waiting for us.

This is a FUN-walk with some amazing views and a relaxing swim in the river.

You need to bring some lunch and water (1,5 ltr.) and insect repellent, sunscreen and walking shoes as well as slippers, although the latter are not essential.
