El Fuerte
Usually we start the day at 9:00 when we pick you up from your hotel and go to the archaeological museum where we buy our entrance-ticket (not included in the price due to the fact that there are different prices for different nationalities and/or students.) and watch a short video about El Fuerte and Samaipata. After that we will give you a short tour in the museum to explain a few things that are of interest.
Then we go to the real thing. After a 20 minute drive we arrive at the top of a mountain, enter the old town of Samaipata and have a first glance of the rock called "El Fuerte". During the walk we explain the history and legends of the Inca and how the stumbled upon this sacred place. We explain about their culture and their (sometimes strange) habits.
Just as the Inca era ends... our tour also comes to an end and we proceed back to town.
The complete tour lasts about 4 to 5 hours.
You need to bring some water ( ½ ltr.) and a fleece since it can be quit windy on the top of the mountain.
Included: Transport, bilingual guide
Excluded: Entrance fee (Foreigner: 50b, Bolivian: 25b, Student 5b), food drinks
