Condor hike
For this tour you will have to get up at 5:30 because at 6:00 we pick you up. After a 2 hour drive on a bad road (only 40 km) we arrive at the starting point of our hike. For 3 ½ hours we follow the rim of this mountain-range until we get to a nesting-area (also our viewing area).
While enjoying these giants of the sky for a couple of hours we also have our lunch. At 14:00 we must start our way back down the mountain, this time on a different trail that goes straight down. According to plan our car will be waiting at the end of this trail by 16:00. All that rests us is the 2 hour drive back to Samaipata.
You need to bring at least 2 liters of drinking water and preferable leave an other bottle in the car. A hat is also a good investment since there will be not one single spot of shade during the day. For the rest bring a lunch and some snacks as well as walking boots, long pants, sunscreen and lots of free space in your camera.
Make sure you eat a solid breakfast in the morning.
Included: Transport, bilingual guide, entrance fee.
